Jennifer “Wyatt” Stenander embodies the spirit of Piedmont Academy, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to excellence, leadership, and service. A proud graduate of the Class of 1992, Jennifer grew up in Monticello and was deeply involved in athletics, clubs, and community activities during her time at Piedmont.
After an impressive 28-year career in higher education, where she most recently served as Vice President of Enrollment at Middle Georgia State University, Jennifer returned to her roots three years ago to join Piedmont Academy as the Assistant Head of School. Her extensive experience spans teaching, counseling, emergency management, admissions, recruitment, marketing, strategic planning, and executive administration.
“As we say in Cougar Country, I bleed blue. I’m honored to be back home at PAC serving our students. I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of our students and supporting them as they grow academically, socially, and spiritually,” says Jennifer.
Jennifer’s dedication to giving back has taken her around the world, from volunteering as a first responder at Ground Zero on September 11th to assisting in Las Vegas after the 2017 mass shooting, rebuilding hurricane-damaged areas in Honduras, and serving as Board Chairman for the American Red Cross. Her commitment to service extends to local children’s services and multiple charities.
Her academic accomplishments are equally impressive. Jennifer holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Georgia Southern University, with additional graduate studies in educational policy and leadership from Georgia State University and student affairs leadership from the University of Georgia. She was a Summer Fellow at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody Professional Institute for Higher Education Management and attended the Summer Institute on College Admissions at Harvard University.
Jennifer’s return to Piedmont Academy is a testament to her dedication to her alma mater and her desire to invest in the next generation of students. We are honored to have her as part of our leadership team and as a shining example of what it means to be a Piedmont graduate.

I am proud to be a product of Piedmont Academy, where I attended from Kindergarten through 12th grade. After high school, I went on to earn a degree in Elementary Education from Georgia College and State University. I spent five years teaching in the public school system before returning to Piedmont Academy to continue my career in education.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades, and I am currently teaching 5th and 6th grade math. It is an honor to contribute to the school community that has meant so much to me.
I have been married to my husband, Alan, for 24 years. Together, we have five children, all of whom have attended Piedmont Academy. We are grateful to be part of a close-knit school family.
