NOTE FROM OUR GRANDPARENTS CLUB:  Our Grandparents Club is preparing for our annual “Grand Bazaar and Flea Market” to take place on Oct. 28, 29, and 30. Please be advised that we need your items for this sale. If you can keep your items until set-up for the sale begins (Oct. 25th), it will be a tremendous help for us since our storage space is very limited. If you need to bring your items to the school now, please call Mrs. Tara Pope and make arrangements to unload your truck. DO NOT UNLOAD UNDER THE PORCH AT THE GYM. Also, we are not trying to be picky, but there are some items that do not sell. People no longer use these things and we cannot give them away. Therefore, please do not bring used entertainment centers. If you are bringing used electronics, TV’s, computers, screens, printers, telephones, etc., please take these to the metal storage bin at the end of the baseball field. These items do not sell either. If you have any questions about the items you want to bring, please feel free to call Mrs. Gayle Marsh at (706) 468-8696.

HIGH SCHOOL PARENTS: We will be using Archie’s Sporting Goods for our letterman jackets this year. The company representative has children here at Piedmont. Because of this, we feel like we will be getting great service for our parents and students. The fitting and ordering process will take place on September 30th. A $100.00 deposit will be required when the order is placed.

PANSY FUNDRAISER: Our Piedmont Equestrian Team and our Piedmont FFA chapter are sponsoring a “Pansy” Fundraiser. Pansy plants will be sold by the flat and each flat contains 18 plants of mixed colors. The cost is $20.00/flat. Customers may pick up flats at the FFA Greenhouse on October 14 or 15 from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M.

PARENTS: Please keep your child(ren) at home when he/she is sick! They may simply transition to online learning, if necessary. If you have any questions, please email your teachers.

EARLY DISMISSALS: Parents, if you are going to check your children out early for any reason, please call the front office (706) 468-8818, Ext. 301) first thing the morning of and let Mrs. Tyler know. She compiles a list each morning of all students leaving early during the day. The list is then given to all teachers. This notifies everyone of the early dismissal students and teachers will not be searching for students who are not on campus. It also gives teachers the opportunity to get assignments in advance to those students who will be missing class.

STUDENT ABSENCES: Parents, please remember, when your child is absent for any reason, we need to be notified. If we are not notified, the absence will be counted as “unexcused.” All unexcused absences will be changed to “excused” when we receive a note, phone call or email from you or from your child’s doctor. All excuses should be directed to Mrs. Tyler in the front office. She handles our attendance records.
