Welcome to Piedmont Academy

Piedmont Academy was established in 1970 as a non-profit, accredited, independent, co-educational, college-preparatory institution educating students from pre-school through twelfth grade. The campus is located 60 miles southeast of Atlanta in Monticello, Jasper County, Georgia. The school is governed by a Board of Trustees which consists of eleven parents who are elected during the Annual Parents Meeting. Encompassing twenty-five acres, the campus consists of six classroom buildings; an outside classroom; media center; cafeteria; a full-sized gymnasium including a band/music room and performance stage; an all-purpose building with a physical education gym, weight room, locker rooms, office, and conference room; separate play areas for pre-school and remaining students; a football/soccer stadium; baseball and softball fields with batting cages and locker rooms.

    Piedmont is accredited by SAIS (Southern Association of Independent Schools); AdvancEd accreditation commission; and ranked with “quality” by the Georgia Accrediting Commission.  The school is a member of the (GISA) Georgia Independent School Association.

    Piedmont Academy educates, encourages and develops students in a safe, Christian environment where faculty and staff partner with families to guide students into opportunities that build character and prepare them for success.

    We seek to inspire growth of the whole student body in mind, by providing a rigorous academic program taught by qualified, committed teachers; body, by encouraging a zeal for physical activity in both a well-rounded physical education program and participation in a variety of sports; and spirit, which promotes love for God, personal integrity, and respect for others.

    Piedmont Academy is a college preparatory school whose purpose is to develop the mind, body, and spirit of its students in a safe, moral environment that invites family participation and promotes student opportunity by adhering to Judeo-Christian values.
